Barbara Jordan of Texas was the first Black woman elected to Congress from the South. She was a lawyer, educator, and politician who used her public speaking skills to advocate for civil and human rights.

This handmade mini wood sign is part of our democracy collection. Ten percent of proceeds from sales of our democracy collection are donated to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). 

Sign is available in mocha with white lettering, white with black lettering, or black with white lettering.
